Dear Mr. Hoeppner:
Thank you for your letter dated May 8, 2000, concerning
Mr. Levreault's report to the Turtle Mountain Detachment, Killarney
Office. I have been advised that an investigation has commenced into
this complaint, and the steps taken by members of the Killarney Community
Office to date are, in my opinion, appropriate. I am also aware that
they remain in contact with Mr. Levreault, and the operational file
remains open, with intentions of identifying a suspect in this matter.
I am also aware that the original complaint is under the
direct supervision of the Turtle Mountain Detachment Commander,
Staff/Sergeant Ted Knight, who will continue to monitor the investigation.
I am confident that a proper investigation has been
conducted thus far, and Mr. Levreault will receive no less than what I
expect of any member of this Division, and this is quality service to all
community members, regardless of who they may be.
